The Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust was founded in 2013 according to Royal Order No. 11 of the same year.

Established in honour of the late His Highness Shaikh Isa bin Salman Al Khalifa, former Emir of Bahrain, the Trust provides educational opportunities to Bahraini students by funding scholarship programs at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Education is afforded great priority as part of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s comprehensive development, led by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Trust recognises the importance of investing in Bahraini youth who are the leaders of tomorrow and an integral component of the Kingdom’s development as it progresses towards a more sustainable and promising future.

The Trust enables scholarship recipients to attain economic mobility through higher education, setting them up on the path to success. Available scholarship programs offer applicants various options in terms of study fields, ensuring diverse outputs that serve the labour market’s requirements.

Since its inception, the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust has funded the education of several Bahraini students who are now fruitful members of society with careers in a range of vital sectors. A total of more than 400 students have completed their studies successfully across local and international universities.

These numbers will only continue to grow as the Trust expands its reach with diligent endeavours to grant more opportunities to deserving beneficiaries.

About Us

Since 2013, the Isa bin Salman Education Charitable Trust has funded the education of more than 400 Bahraini students, a number that grows with each new batch of scholars. Offering admittance to programs of study at local and international universities, the Trust aspires to achieve societal advancement by investing in Bahraini youth, who constitute the Kingdom’s national asset. Applicants are selected based on transparent criteria of eligibility.
